Advance Surgical Care

Bringing the latest surgical skills, knowledge, reliability and compassionate care, closer to home.

Up to date, evidence based, and individualized treatment of gallbladder disorders, hernias, breast, thyroid, colon and other bowel surgery.

Linda M. Bergal, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Bergal is a board certified general surgeon and has been practicing in Southeast Texas since 2015. Since her arrival, she has helped thousands of patients with a large array of surgical problems.

She is the first surgeon in SETX to perform robotic, minimal invasive: inguinal hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery with ICG guidance, colostomy reversals and colectomies with intraabdominal anastomosis. She has also worked tirelessly to train the operative room staff, inspire colleagues to incorporate this technology into their practice, and encourage the administration to expand access to robotic surgery. By demonstrating her patients’ faster recovery, decreased postoperative pain, and improved outcomes her work has revolutionized surgical care for our patients.

Dr. Bergal also recognizes that the patient experience does not start or end in the OR. She is a strong advocate for enhanced recovery protocol including: patient specific perioperative planning, early return to activity and oral diet, minimizing narcotic use, limiting unnecessary antibiotic use, and early discharge planning. She is committed to helping get you back to your best self.

Explore the Da Vinci Xi Robot

The Da Vinci technology allows specially trained surgeons to perform many types of complex procedures with better visualization and control, than is possible with conventional techniques.

The revolutionary wristed motion combines minimally invasive approach with the precision, flexibility and control of traditional open operation.

The robot works through tiny incisions to perform complex maneuvers which offers specific benefits to the patient to include shorter hospital stays, faster healing, and less postoperative pain.
