Linda M. Bergal, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Bergal moved to Houston with her family in 1996, and graduated at the top of her class from Westside H.S. She then matriculated to New York University, where she majored in Mathematics and Pre-Med, and was accepted to NYU School of Medicine for her medical training. Dr. Bergal then moved to Pittsburgh, where she completed her surgical residency training at the Allegheny Health System. Upon completing her training, she returned to Texas, settling in Beaumont.
Dr. Bergal has become a member of the Jefferson County Medical Society, and has been inducted as a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. Since her arrival, she has been instrumental in building up the da Vinci Robotic program. She is the first surgeon in SETX to offer robotic inguinal hernia repairs, as well as the latest in robotic abdominal hernia repair and revision techniques, colectomies with total intraabdominal anastomosis, and minimally invasive colostomy reversals. She has helped and inspired many other colleagues in the area to embrace this revolutionary technology, and helped other surgeons train and become proficient in these techniques.
In her spare time Dr. Bergal joins her husband, Dr. Michael Bergal, and their two children Kye and Luna to partake in all things local, culinary adventure, and the great outdoors.
